Why Is This Essential?
Current methods for monitoring canine pregnancy are costly, invasive, and cumbersome. By continuously monitoring a wide range of health indicators to holistically determine health throughout pregnancy, PetPace helps owners understand the health of the mother and pups and delivers alerts for warning signs that could require vet attention.
Once the mother reaches term, timely predictions for when whelping will occur are paramount to making sure the owner is prepared to support them. Continuous monitoring is a reliable and efficient way to ensure that the mother and pups remain healthy.
How Does It Work?
The Pregnancy Health Monitoring solution works in three stages: learning stage, gestation health monitoring stage, and whelping time alerts stage.
The first 20 days of pregnancy are the Learning stage, where PetPace collects basic information about the mother by measuring thousands of health data points and uses machine learning to determine biometric baselines.
Following the learning stage, PetPace’s Health Monitoring solution uses artificial intelligence to continuously track the mother’s vitals and other biometrics to make sure they are meeting critical health milestones throughout each stage of pregnancy and alerts the owner of potential negative health indicators.
Once the mother nears full term, Timely Whelping Alerts predict when the mother will go into whelping, from 10 days up until 12 hours before giving birth.
Activation
The Pregnancy Health Monitoring solution can be activated within the PetPace app via the main menu, with no need to buy a new collar. Select ‘Add Pregnancy Program’ and then ‘Get’. The user will then be directed to select their desired plan.
Pricing
Customers may choose between four-month and one-year subscription plans. The subscription applies to one collar at a time.
