This week, PetPace was honored to be displayed alongside an interview with one of this year’s newest animal advocates, Hilary Swank. This article, featured in USA Today’s Pet Wellness insert on 12/17, details Swank’s mission to connect pets in need with children who can benefit from the human animal bond.

No oneanimals includedshould feel discarded by society, Swank says. If you instill a little bit of hope inside someone, it can grow deep roots.

Swank begin the Hilaroo foundation in August, but her understanding of the connection between a struggling youth and animals began at a young age. She herself has said that she has always felt a connection to canines, especially as a self-described outsider to the rest of the world.
